Our June excursion this year involved a trip to Blaby, which is the far side of Leicester to where we are based. It proved to be a worthwhile journey as we enjoyed both the ambience and the food. The décor at the Zaika restaurant is tasteful, the accommodation is plentiful and comfortable with dining rooms on two floors and more than enough parking available on the doorstep.
Taraj Palace is situated on the main Melton Road in Syston and has a small car park at the rear of the restaurant, there is limited on street parking although there is a large car park around 70 metres away. It has recently been refurbished and has had a change of ownership, so I thought now is the time to see how it rated.
So for April we headed off to Ryan’s in Loughborough. This restaurant is on Baxter Gate just opposite the cinema and leisure complex. We were initially the only customers that were in, and we always think that’s a little odd for a restaurant in a great high street location. They were quite busy with take aways, and it wasn’t long before other eat in diners appeared.
