So for April we headed off to Ryan’s in Loughborough. This restaurant is on Baxter Gate just opposite the cinema and leisure complex. We were initially the only customers that were in, and we always think that’s a little odd for a restaurant in a great high street location. They were quite busy with take aways, and it wasn’t long before other eat in diners appeared.

We ordered the usual poppadom’s and pickle tray which was pretty good with some new accompliments and as usual they were fresh and served us with 2 trays.

We ordered 1 chicken tawa madras hot, 1 Hyderabad chicken, 2 garlic chilli chicken, 1 honey sizzler along with a selection of rice’s and nans. One of the members always has a side portion of coriander which has the tendency to be forgotten as its outside of the normal menu, but it was duly delivered with his main course.

The establishment also delivered a bonus portion of food that they make outside of the normal menu and that went down well as did a complimentary liquor for all of the members.

The bill was slightly less than average which was good and the service although a little slow at first became better as the evening progressed.

The owner was a very nice and likeable man and ensured that we had a good evening. His son’s name is Ryan and he named his restaurant after him!
