July 2026 – Satya, Great Glen

For our July outing, the Leicester Curry Club headed to Satya in Great Glen, and it proved to be an excellent choice.
First impressions were very positive. There is plenty of parking, and the restaurant has been recently refurbished, creating a bright, airy atmosphere. One feature that immediately caught our attention was the open kitchen visible behind the bar area, which adds a nice sense of theatre and confidence in the food being prepared.

May 2026 – Curry Lush

We visited Curry Lush located inside The Meadows pub in Beaumont Leys, for our May outing.

The pub itself is a decent size with a good bar area and pool tables, while the restaurant occupies what was probably the old lounge area. It certainly got us reminiscing about when estate pubs like this would have been packed with drinkers and smokers years ago – it would have been the place to be back in the day.

March 2026 – Indian Rooster Loughborough

We took a chance on a smaller, café like restaurant this month, it’s always a pleasant diversion to find somewhere different and compare the possibilities with the more traditional restaurants. The establishment selected was Indian Rooster on Ashby Road in Loughborough. Parking was easy using Sainsburys car park which is almost next door where you can park for up to two hours, it’s handy to combine some shopping or topping up your fuel tank as well if planned accordingly.

February 2026 – Haryanvi Tadka

Our February visit was to a restaurant on Uppingham Road, which was found via a website search, and upon reading the reviews, thought we’d give it a try.
It is situated on a busy road so parking can be a problem – parking is available near Humberstone Park a short walk away, or on one of the nearby side roads.
