It was a close run contest again at the end of the year with a clear favourite already established and expected by all of us to win, but a December visit to Market Harborough changed things by the smallest of margins at the last minute. Following that visit we had our 2022 Leicester Curry Club winner, as voted for by our team of unbiased and enthusiastic self proclaimed ‘curry connoisseurs’ which we all know, might not be the best recommendation, but without wishing to appear pretentious it will have to do for the purpose of our research and resulting reviews.
We revisited Avatar Dining last night for the celebration meal and certificate award ceremony. This annual visit is always made with anticipation of another excellent meal, but hinged with the slight concern that the restaurant might not live up to it’s previous performance. There was no need for worry last night, as we all agreed that the meals were every bit as good as before.
The staff, as during our previous visit, were attentive taking the time to ensure that everyone had what they wanted without being intrusive and it was noticeable that the same attention was being given to the surrounding tables. The restaurant was very busy for a Thursday evening and it appeared that the other diners that we could see were enjoying their meals as much as we were enjoying ours.
The restaurant is also very pleasant with comfortable accommodation and decoration and as a result of our initial appraisal and our return visit, we don’t hesitate in recommending Avatar Dining to our readers for any occasion from a quiet evening meal out with your partner or a special celebration with friends, you will be assured of a warm welcome and a very good meal.
