Our December annual presentation dinner to award the Outstanding Curry Restaurant of the Year certificate was a welcome return to My Delhi in Belvoir Street in the heart of Leicester.
We were given a warm welcome and a repeat of the excellent service that we had enjoyed during our previous visit when the establishment provided us with our chosen selection from their extensive menu of enticing and extremely tasty exotic dishes.
Our choices this time were Butter Chicken, two Railway Station Lamb Curries, a portion of Spicy Lamb Chops and two Lucknow’s Royal Chicken Biryanis with rice and nans to accompany them.
We enjoyed Papadam baskets and dips while we waited for the main courses anticipating another experience of tantalising and satisfying flavours from the Orient. We were not disappointed when the dishes arrived and we set about demolishing them with a commitment and dedication that our readers have come to expect from their impartial reviewers of fine, local Indian dining all in the worthwhile cause of bringing the news to our faithful following.
The food was again exemplary, served with kind attention in very pleasant surroundings and all at a very reasonable price, so we have no hesitation in recommending this fine establishment to our host of attentive and eager, like minded connoisseurs of Indian cuisine to sample the delights on offer there no matter what the occasion or celebration might be.
